Overview of Vietnam Motor Show 2022

The Vietnam Motor Show will return in 2022, following a two-year delay brought on by COVID-19, with a bigger scale and more diverse display areas compared to previous exhibitions. 

On September 15, the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) and the Vehicle Importers Vietnam Association (VIVA) held a press conference to announce this event. From October 26, 2022 to October 30, 2022, the expo will be placed at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). Numerous car companies prepare to display spectacular and pleasing performances at the show. The public, and the car-loving community, in particular, was thrilled to hear this news.

Highlights of this exhibition

1. The participation of familiar and unfamiliar brands

So far, there are 14 car brands, 8 members of VAMA and 6 members of VIVA, confirmed their participation include: Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Mitsubishi Motors, Honda, Audi, Brabus, Jeep, Lexus, Morgan, MG, RAM, Subaru, Volkswagen, and Volvo. Four of these brands, Brabus, Jeep, Morgan, and RAM, make their debut at Vietnam Motor Show 2022.

At the expo, each manufacturer will present standout car models equipped with their unique modern technology. Visitors, domestic and international partners, and enterprises are promised attractive experiences thanks to each brand’s distinctiveness.

2. The grand scale of the exhibition

The interior display area at Vietnam Motor Show 2022 is up to roughly 20,000m2, with a total exhibition area of up to 40,000m2. The scope of this year’s exhibition will increase, and the registration of motorcycle manufacturers, big displacement vehicle manufacturers, boat manufacturers, etc., and products in the supporting industry have been verified.

Along with well-known car brands, Vietnam Motor Show 2022 will feature various modes of transportation with prominent manufacturers for the first time: Honda Motor with huge displacement vehicles, LuxYatch – a luxury yacht in Vietnam, Dat Bike – a Vietnam electric motorcycle, and Dcar Limousine. There are anticipated to be 24 brand demonstrations each day from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. during the five-day exhibition. This event is expected to attract about 18,000 attendees.

According to a spokesperson of the Vietnam Motor Show 2022 organizing committee, approximately 200 exhibitors have already registered to participate in the event in terms of support industry and premium service products. These booths will be arranged in the new SECC display area with more convenient and modern facilities than in previous years.

3. Specialized seminars with interesting topics as well as exciting activities

Electric cars are now creating a breakthrough wave in the global car market. In conjunction with this event, the organizers will also host a specialized seminar with the involvement of industry experts to go over the worldwide trend toward electrified cars as well as the future growth goals of Vietnam’s automotive sector. The organizing committee is also thinking of holding a workshop on the subject of appropriately delivering and utilizing Euro5 fuel to save the environment.

In addition, attendees can also take part in other car show activities such as the Subaru Russ Swift Stunt Show, Subaru will also offer the 2022 Subaru Advanced Technology Drive event. Jeep organizes off-road driving experience activities for visitors and other programs.

4. Smart Exhibition

At this year’s exhibition, visitors will have a chance to experience a synchronized technology journey: From check-in to survey participation, QR code scanning games to collect logos of car brands and spinning the wheel of fortune to receive interesting gifts; experience AR technology with exhibition publications to see 3D car models, videos, images of car brands are fully proactive with their smartphones.

5. Vietnam Motor Show 2022 – prestigious and quality car exhibition

With the outstanding organizational scale and the presence of many brands, Vietnam Motor Show 2022 will be a desirable exhibition event in the second half of 2022. In addition, accompanying large partners promises to provide visitors with great experiences and new things throughout the event. 

The 2022 Vietnam Motor Show is a significant event for the Vietnamese car industry, aiming to boost the Vietnamese car market after the pandemic and in the last months of 2022. The recently released hybrid and electric vehicles from various companies on display at this year’s expo are an obvious indication that the market for automobiles in Vietnam is changing.
